Montenegro Turkish Businesspeople and Investors Association was established in December 2018 in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and started its activities in 2018. It continues its activities as the only Turkish NGO in Montenegro.
Mission:
To contribute to the development of economic, social and cultural relations between Turkey and Montenegro, and to create an environment that improves cooperation opportunities between Turkish and Montenegrin businesspeople.
Informing Turkish businesspeople about the current economic conditions in Montenegro and about the changes and amendments in the relevant legal regulations.
Advising potential Turkish businesspeople who want to invest and do business in Montenegro; facilitating and accelerating economic, social and cultural solidarity among members.
To identify the main problems that Turkish businesspeople face while investing and doing business in Montenegro, and also to find the best solutions for the problems that may arise and to help solve common problems when necessary, by cooperating with official institutions and organizations in Turkey and Montenegro.
To create a positive image of Turkish products in Montenegro, to provide competitive power and to carry out stimulating and guiding works for their protection.
To compile the information needed by industrialists and businesspeople in this regard.
Developing suggestions to facilitate and accelerate the foreign trade of products that can compete in terms of price and quality.
To conduct research on professional and commercial matters and other subjects; to monitor general economic developments, to collect information and statistical data and to transfer them to its members.
To carry out necessary follow-up studies on commercial, economic, financial and other relevant laws and regulations that have entered into force or amended in Montenegro, and to announce them to its members by translating them into Turkish.
To list the trade, economic and financial agreements and protocols signed between Turkey and Montenegro, to translate them into Turkish and announce them to its members.
To monitor the implementation of agreements and protocols, to research their advantages and disadvantages and to announce them to their members.
To organize seminars, symposiums, conferences and meetings to improve the knowledge and skills of the members of the association.
Ertaç Güngör, President of the Board of KTID, was born in Ağrı in 1962. After completing his primary school in Ağrı, he completed his secondary and high school education in Mersin. He graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business Administration. He started his business life with textile production.
In 1993, Turkey’s first GSM dealerships were opened. After year 2000, he continues his business life in the areas of textile exports and construction with companies in the USA, Saudi Arabia and Montenegro, and has been living in Montenegro for 5 years. During his business life, many NGOs are actively involved. He is married and has a child.
